With the CV axis, which has been specially developed for vertical applications, we are expanding our portfolio of highly dynamic linear axes and demonstrating our expertise in the range of special axes. The CV axis combines impressive dynamic response in a compact design with maximum precision, making it ideal for modern automation and handling systems.

Our CV axis is specially designed for vertical applications. It operates with an integrated direct drive in the form of a linear motor that does not require any mechanical transmission elements. This completely eliminates friction, backlash and wear. The result is a durable axis with maximum accurate positioning and low maintenance costs. The use of linear motors also enables extremely fast acceleration and deceleration processes, resulting in short cycle times.
A modular and retrofittable weight compensation system, which is magnetic as standard but can also be implemented pneumatically, reduces the motor load in vertical applications, lowers energy requirements and expands the range of applications for the axis.
The particularly lightweight cantilever ensures minimal moving mass while maintaining high rigidity. This enables very high accelerations (up to 80 m/s²) and speeds (up to 5 m/s) – ideal for processes that require both speed and precision.
The combination of compact design, low weight and high dynamic response makes the CV axis an ideal component of modern machine concepts.
Like all our linear systems, the CV axis has a modular design. It can be operated individually or integrated into multidimensional systems, in particular our HIWIN linear axis systems.
Depending on the application, various encoder systems, energy supply systems, and pneumatic clamping systems are available. This allows the axes to be precisely adapted to the requirements of the ranges of mechanical engineering, robotics, and automation technology.

Interested parties can currently experience the CV axis live at the SPS – Smart Production Solutions in Nuremberg. At stand 371 in hall 4, we are not only presenting the new high-speed axis, but also other product highlights such as the electric actuator and the entire linear axis portfolio. Special attention will be paid to the numerous customer-specific customisation options and special designs – from compact single modules to complex multi-axis system solutions.
