With the new APM absolute position measurement system, we are expanding our portfolio of precision linear axes to include another key component for end-to-end positioning solutions from a single source. In combination with our linear axes, the measurement system is available as a fully integrated solution. This simplifies design and commissioning, reduces the number of interfaces and enables precise and reliable position detection.

In addition to our tried-and-tested incremental position measurement systems, we now also offer an absolute measurement system. The magnetically encoded, non-contact measurement solution detects the current position immediately after the system is switched on. Reference runs are no longer required, meaning that machines and systems are ready for operation again much more quickly. Integrated inside the axis to save space, the electrical connection is made via a BiSS-C interface, enabling easy integration into modern automation environments.
Developed specifically for automated positioning tasks, the APM ensures reliable position detection even under demanding environmental conditions involving oil, dirt, vibrations or shocks.
A particular advantage lies in the integrated system approach. We provide users with a fully coordinated complete solution comprising a linear axis, distance measuring system, motor and drive technology, all from a single source. For users, this means fewer interfaces, reduced integration effort and faster implementation of automation projects.
