In modern printing machines, constant web tension of the paper is crucial for print quality. Even the smallest fluctuations in tension can lead to waviness or material tears and thus to the rejection of entire print runs. Absolutely uniform and reliable tension of the paper web is therefore essential, especially in high-speed printing systems – our electric actuators perform this task reliably.

Thanks to servo motors, our electric actuators can be controlled precisely, enabling the web tension of the enormous printing paper rolls to be regulated accurately and reproducibly. In printing systems, they are responsible for the precise positioning and force control of the deflection rollers on which the gigantic paper rolls are mounted. The use of electrical drive technology continuously monitors the tension on the paper web and readjusts it within milliseconds if necessary. This ensures constant tension throughout the entire printing process.
