Structure of our electric actuators
Extremely flexible, powerful and compact, our electric actuators are specially designed for industrial applications. The linear drives are based on a heavy-duty, peeled ballscrew and are equipped with a robust aluminium profile with versatile end/drive blocks and grooves integrated into the profile. This enables simple, direct and flexible mounting.
The history of electric actuator development
Ever faster and more intelligent movement is demanded. What is truly needed is a precise, reliable and energy-efficient solution – and that is exactly where our new electric actuator comes in. Our latest linear drive is designed for peak industrial performance. It takes up less space, can be flexibly attached, and replaces bulky pneumatic or hydraulic systems energy-efficiently.

Product première: electric actuator
What a great moment at automatica in Munich: After long and comprehensive development work, we presented our electric actuator for the first time at automatica 2025. The trade fair was the ideal platform for demonstrating the potential of the drive for the first time live. With its well engineered design and technical features, the electromechanical cylinder marks a significant step in the direction of future-oriented linear technology.

3 questions – 3 answers concerning our electric actuators #1
In our interview series "3 questions – 3 answers", we give you a glimpse behind the scenes in the development of our new electric actuators. In this episode, the manager of the development department for our new electric actuators gives fascinating answers to three questions about the special features and advantages of our electric actuators.

3 questions – 3 answers concerning our electric actuators #2
In our interview series "3 questions – 3 answers", we give you a glimpse behind the scenes in the development of our new electric actuators. In this episode, the manager of our development department for electric actuators gives fascinating answers to three questions about processing and designing electric actuators.
Mounting of drive adaptation – coupling component for electric actuator
Here we show you the complete mounting of a coupling component as a drive adaptation for our HIWIN electric actuator. This gives you an overview of all necessary components, the correct mounting sequence, and important instructions for precise and reliable installation. Suitable coupling components are required for the motor attachment. The corresponding variants can be found in our "Electric actuator EA S“ catalogue at https://www.hiwin.de/de/dlc/hDownloads?q=%3AdlDescription%3AdownloadBaseCategory%3AKatalog%3AdownloadProduct%3AElektrozylinder&text=#

Mounting of drive adaptation – belt drive for electric actuator
Here we show you the complete mounting of the belt drive as a drive adaptation for our HIWIN electric actuator. Two types of belt drive are available for parallel attachment of the motor, one with and one without swivel flange. Here we show you the attachment with swivel flange.

Mounting of slide guide for electric actuator
Here we show you the complete mounting of the slide guide for our HIWIN electric actuator. EA-S electric actuators can be equipped with up to two guides as standard. The guides can be selected directly when configuring the electric actuator or they can be added or replaced later on. The second guide slide is mounted in the same way as the first one.
